As of the beginning of April, we are anticipating seeing our construction documents completed in about 3 weeks. From there, we get material bids and start the planning stages.
9/15/24 - building fund offering ... $16,126! To all of you who have given, thank you for sacrificing and doing so joyfully. God is using you to help move this project forward, and we look forward to taking the next step! (updated number includes recent online building fund giving)
12/19/23 - estate donation ... due to God's miraculous provision through a donation from an estate, our building fund running total just passed $350,000!
What we are praying for: - Partners. Once the work begins, we will be trying to be good stewards by utilizing whatever help God provides. Please pray that God would lead both potential coworkers and us as to what will best accomplish His will. - Wisdom. There will be many decisions to be made as we start planning for the new church building. We are closing in on our goal of a 50% down payment on the construction costs, so we are beginning to work on more concrete plans. - Finances. Thank the Lord, we were able to purchase the land with cash! However, now we will be continuing to raise money for the building. God has already shown His generosity and supernatural orchestration of events in this process, and we are confident that He will continue to do so! - Lord willing, we are within a year from breaking ground! We are considering some plans and have begun talking with the building department!
Update: we will be finalizing a building plan with pastor Doug Demar on 9/16. Once that is done, we will be looking for an architect to produce our official drawings.
